Wallet cards
A wallet card is connected to a self-custody wallet, meaning one where you alone hold the keys. Your funds stay there until a purchase, at which point the card provider turns the coins into the payment currency. No exchange holds the money in between, which many people consider the whole attraction.
Reviews describe the price of each card, the coins and networks that can load it, who may obtain it, and how the issuer is set up.
It helps to know what self-custody does not do. A forgotten seed phrase cannot be recovered, and the issuer keeps the power to freeze the card. Every review marks that boundary.
